As part of upcoming regulatory changes, Mimaki has announced the discontinuation of its current LH-100 and LF-140 UV ink families. These changes come in response to new UK and European REACH regulations, which will come into effect from January 2027 and prohibit the manufacture, import, or sale of goods printed using inks that contain certain restricted substances.
If you're currently running LH-100 or LF-140 inks in your Mimaki UJF Printer, you will be affected and we want to make sure you're prepared for the transition.
From 31st March 2026, sales of LH-100 and LF-140 inks will officially end. To remain compliant with future legislation and continue printing without disruption, users will need to switch to Mimaki’s next-generation UV inks, which have been developed as a direct replacement:

🧩 For LUS-120 / LF-140 Users: Introducing ELS-120
Launching in early 2026, ELS-120 will be the new flexible UV ink option, giving LF-140 and LUS-120 users a tailored upgrade path.
Every Mimaki UJF printer running LH-100 or LF-140 inks will require a one-time ink conversion to remain compliant.
Here’s what to expect:
DIY Software-Driven Conversion
You’ll receive a simple tool to carry out the switch yourself. It takes around 8 hours – but much of this time is unattended.
Zero Risk Transition
Mimaki provides full warranty cover for inked parts (including the printhead) during the process.
Free Inks & Media
You’ll receive a complete set of ELH-100 inks and the required media at no cost to perform the conversion.
For some customers, upgrading your printer might be a better long-term solution.
Mimaki’s UK distributor, Hybrid Services, is offering generous trade-in options with enhanced offers available if:
Trade-ins allow you to move to the latest UJF technology and avoid conversion altogether.
