The new HP Latex 630 has been designed as the logical next step for existing HP Latex 300 users. Compared against the HP Latex 315 and 335, the fourth generation HP Latex brings a host of enhancements, including:
- The optional addition of White ink
- Driven from two standard 13-amp plugs (L335 has 16-amp power requirements)
- Improved speeds of 14sqm/hr at Indoor Quality (compared to 13m2/hr on the L335)
- Cost-effective 1-litre ink supplies (increased from 775ml)
- Up to 30% lower curing temperatures for improved media versatility
- 50% more nozzles for sharper test and accuracy
- No more Service Maintenance Kits (all parts covered under the CarePack)
- Built-in Job Queue on the Printer for easy re-prints
- Spindle-free Loading System for easier media handling
Most of the above are also applicable against the HP Latex 365 Printer, with the exception being speed.
The HP Latex 365 is still faster than the HP Latex 630 and can reach 17m2/hr at Indoor Quality. In addition to this, the 365 is also equipped with a Spectrophotometer for measurable colour consistency across multiple panels and repeat jobs, as well as an Ink Collector Unit for printing porous textiles.
The HP Latex 365 Printer does draw more power and requires 16-amp plugs to run - with all of this in mind, it's a case of weighing up the different features and identifying what is most important to you.
The HP Latex 700 Series takes the best of both worlds - all the benefits of the new HP Latex 630 Series, but with the addition of increased speed (up to 21m2/hr), a Spectrophotometer and optional Ink Collector Unit.
Finally, the HP Latex 800 Series then takes this one step further, with an increased ink capacity of 3-litres for high production print, and a 25m2/hr Indoor Quality to boot.
This doesn’t come without compromise, however, as the L800 does require 16-amp power.
