When it comes to balancing performance, reliability, and value, Mimaki offers two standout series for sign and graphics professionals: the 200 Series (CJV200 / JV200) and the 330 Series (CJV330 / JV330).
While both deliver the exceptional print quality Mimaki is known for, they are tailored to meet different production needs - whether you're just starting out or scaling up for high-volume output.
The Mimaki 200 Series is the perfect entry-to-mid level solution for businesses seeking dependable performance without overextending their budget. Equipped with a single high-precision printhead, the 200 Series delivers sharp, vibrant prints using eco-solvent or dye-sublimation inks. The CJV200 model features integrated cutting capabilities, making it ideal for producing stickers, labels, and other contour-cut graphics in one seamless workflow.
This series is a go-to for sign makers, print shops, and promotional product suppliers who need quality results, media flexibility, and consistent output at a cost-effective price point.
This would be the direct replacement for existing JV100 / JV150 / CJV150 users.
For operations demanding higher productivity and faster turnaround times, the Mimaki 330 Series steps up with power and precision. Featuring dual staggered printheads, the 330 Series significantly boosts print speeds while maintaining exceptional detail and colour vibrancy. This makes it an ideal solution for high-volume environments such as commercial print shops, vehicle wrap specialists, and large-format graphics producers.
Beyond speed, the 330 Series offers several enhancements tailored to production professionals, including a more robust take-up system for smoother media handling, support for larger ink capacities to reduce downtime, a three-roll media changer on the rear and a built-in XY Slitter for trimming posters / wallcoverings.
The CJV330 also includes a precision cutting function, like its CJV200 Series counterpart, but with improved speed to keep up with larger production demands.
The Roland VG4 and XG Series offer two levels of performance within the TrueVIS solvent range.
The VG4 Series provides outstanding print quality and versatility, making it ideal for day-to-day signage, labels and graphics production.
The XG Series is designed for higher productivity environments, delivering approximately twice the print speed of the VG4, making it the perfect choice for businesses looking to maximise output and efficiency.
Both of these models run TR3 ink, which is completely GBL-free. GBL is a controlled substance, which has been increasingly regulated worldwide in recent years. Historically, this has been used in all Solvent inks, with manufacturers now actively working towards its removal to safe-guard against regulation changes that could be introduced by parliament in the future.
