Mimaki SS22 ink (SS22-x-44) is made from an organic solvent, enabling quick drying due to the volatility of the solvent. This enables direct printing onto PVC, amost other substrates, which are extensively used for both indoor and outdoor signage and displays.
The major development in SS22 ink is that it's 'GBL-free'.
Inks for general eco-solvent printers contain an ingredient (GBL) whose use has been increasingly regulated worldwide in recent years. SS22, first installed in the CJV200 Series, is a new eco-solvent ink that does not contain GBL and is safer for operators than ever before.
The SS22 ink inherits the weather resistance, dryness, and other features of SS21 ink, which has long been popular in the market, and is the best-class in the industry, and can be switched to CJV200 from conventional machines with confidence. It is also sold in a paper cartridge format that significantly reduces the amount of plastic used, making it an environmentally friendly solution.
